I have been requested to post the following to get the word out about this scam:

Please spread the word about the above information.

Hi, gang -

We understand some of y'all are having trouble printing the "Lemon" labels in a size that fits a CD. Alas, some of these problems may be due to individual computers and browsers - but we have some possible solutions:

1) To print from either - http://sentinel.popullus.net/lemoncd.html or http://www.geocities.com/sos2_us/pages/main/lemoncd.html

Suggested method to print these labels is: LEFT-click the label you wish to print; then RIGHT-click; choose "Save Target As" and save to a folder on your own computer; open in a graphics program such as Paint or PhotoShop; set printer to 300 dpi before sending to print.

NOTE: on that popullus.net site, there's a link to test (saves some ink) the above method. It just prints the outside rim of the label.

2) If method #1 fails, the two labels are also here, in a different format -

http://www10.brinkster.com/sandy2/onelemon.html
http://www10.brinkster.com/sandy2/twolemon.html

Some sibs have succeeded in printing *directly* from these two pages, by just hitting 'Print'. You can test this (ink-saving again) by going to

http://www10.brinkster.com/sandy2/test.html

and trying to print directly.

If #1 and #2 both fail - woe! But you can STILL join in on the "Lemon" theme....

Try this: go to the WebCount page,

http://sentinel.popullus.net

and just hit 'Print' to print the page as-is. For some sibs, the small sample lemon label displayed there printed in a size just PERFECT for cutting out and gluing to a blank postcard.

Or - buy some blank 23-cent cards at the post office. Find some kitchen catalogs or cooking magazines, hunt for pix of lemons, cut 'em out, glue to the message side of the postcard, and also on the message side, write a quick "Put The Sentinel Out On DVD!!" or "Here's my PRE-ORDER for all 4 seasons of The Sentinel, WITH bloopers and extras, please!!"

If you *can* print a label but can't find a spare CD - just send the print itself!

Or, heck - just write Tom Lesinski a letter!

address reminder:

Paramount Studios
Attn: Tom Lesinski
President, Home Entertainment Div.
5555 Melrose Ave.
Hollywood, CA 90038

BTW, if you're having trouble finding envelopes for CD's, most greeting-card envelopes will fit a CD just fine! And with just a CD, postage is still only 37 cents.

Oh, yeah - don't forget to record your sends at the WebCount page! So...now that you've got more ammunition...CHARGE!!! Visualize Tom's desk covered with lemons!

SOS asks: Do you want TS on DVD??

Well - do we?

Earlier this year, the many "Put TS on DVD" CD's you sent to Paramount had serious impact, resulting in both TVShowsOnDVD.com and The Home Theater Forum setting up "Sentinel" voting sites - which were then directly observed/monitored by a Paramount executive, Martin Blythe, in order to gauge interest.

You responded almightily to this challenge, warriors. TS rose to the Top Ten requested shows on TVShowsOnDVD.com, and *swamped* JAG on The Home Theater Forum. Things were looking good: although Paramount had not yet committed to DVD release, word was - and *still* is - that it was under consideration.

Months later, where do we stand?

Paramount is still saying "be patient", yet we continue to see other shows come out on DVD: Smallville, Stargate SG-1, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine to name a few. Even less successful, cultish shows such as Sports Night have been issued and are selling well. To quote a recent article in the LA Daily News: "A less obvious gold mine in the (DVD) genre has been the solid sales of entire seasons of television shows that were not very successful in their ratings during brief runs lasting only one or two seasons."

Hello? Does this sound familiar?

The Sentinel is a prime candidate for DVD release, and if we truly want this to happen, we MUST continue to let Paramount hear us. But - WHERE ARE YOUR VOICES?

On August 5, SOS kicked off a new campaign phase by sending Paramount's Home Entertainment Div. President Tom Lesinski a little TS reminder - a "Lemon" bouquet, urging him to "don't make lemonade, make MONEY!" by releasing TS on DVD. Then, on Aug. 14, we gave these lists two new lemon-themed, Sentinel CD labels for fen to print out, glue to CD's, and mail to Lesinski.

Your response - well, according to the WebCount - not impressive. Prior to Aug. 14, the count for CD's sent to Paramount was 311.

Today, it's 324. A big, fat 13 CD's.

Apathy? Indifference? Back-to-school syndrome?

Whatever - THIS AIN'T GONNA DO IT, PEOPLE!! For a fandom with such an incredible history of fearless, untiring participation, this is near-nigh disgraceful.

Such an anemic response will go absolutely nowhere in convincing Paramount that there's an enthusiastic audience out there, waiting to spend money on TS DVD's.

SOS says - time to get back on board the campaign. NOW. Before Paramount forgets all your earlier efforts.

We call upon the veterans of the UPN battles. Rediscover your inner warrior! Remember that early triumph, and rise up again, dammit!

We call upon you who first discovered TS on the Sci-Fi Channel. As once again they prepare to take it off the air - do your part to ensure that fen worldwide can continue to enjoy The Sentinel.

We call upon the newbies. As you bring new blood into the fandom - bring your undepleted enthusiasm to this campaign! Come on in, the water's nice!

UK SIBS!! With TS just recently getting on the air for your region, you may not yet have heard of this DVD campaign. Here's your chance to help ensure long life for the fandom. Join us!!

In short: WE CALL UPON THIS FANDOM TO RALLY YET AGAIN!!

Wherever and whoever you are - do NOT sit back and do nothing. Do NOT placidly await the verdict of the suits. Do NOT permit Paramount to think interest in The Sentinel has died off.

If you give a damn - FIGHT!! Participate!!

Print a "lemon" label, glue it on a CD, mail it to -

Paramount Studios
Attn: Tom Lesinski
President, Home Entertainment Div.
5555 Melrose Ave.
Hollywood, CA 90038

Or send Tom a lemon-themed postcard. Send him a DVD article *with* a little note attached asking for The Sentinel. Write a quick letter.

Here's a simple idea: go to the post office, buy a blank 23-cent postcard. Cover the address area with yellow Magic Marker, let it dry a sec, then write Tom's address on this yellow background. On the other side, write 'Put "The Sentinel" out on DVD!!'

Whatever you choose to send, do go to the WebCount and record it - we want to know if you're still with us.

URL's for "Lemon" labels -

and
http://www.geocities.com/sos2_us/pages/main/lemoncd.html

For the WebCount AND DVD articles (and other campaign links) -

http://sentinel.popullus.net/

If in the next several days we see list activity and WebCount evidence that we've stirred you up, we'll proceed with our next Contest. Incentive will be - zines! Stay tuned!

We think we've said it all, sibs. Now - the rest is up to you.

The SOS Team.

No, sibs, your fave fighting damsels have not gone into the beverage biz.

We thought it time to kick up the current campaign a notch, with a tart little jolt to Paramount's attention span - since they haven't yet committed to releasing "The Sentinel" on DVD. Although they seem favorably disposed to consider the idea, we want to keep gentle pressure on them, and NOT to permit them to forget the mobs of fans out here, panting for DVD's.

So - yep, new campaign coming up. And we battlin' broads have already begun.

A particularly creative SOS'r found an interesting item on the 1-800-FLOWERS website: a "lemonade" bouquet. Her devious little mind carried the idea further, and as a result - on August 5th, Tom Lesinski, President of Paramount's Home Entertainment Div., received the "Make Lemonade" bouquet from the SOS team. The card read; "Paramount: The Sentinel ain't no lemon, so don't make lemonade, make MONEY! Please put all seasons of THE SENTINEL on DVD with bloopers & extended scenes."

Nice kick-off, right?! And now we're handing off the ball to you, Tribe.

We've created two "Lemon" themed CD labels for you to print out, glue to a spare/used CD, and mail to Paramount. Find them (and a pic of the Paramount bouquet!) here -

http://www.geocities.com/sos2_us/pages/main/lemoncd.html
http://geocities.com/z3magic/lemoncd.html

Send those "Lemon" CD's to:

Paramount Studios
Home Entertainment Division
Attn: Tom Lesinski, President
5555 Melrose Avenue
Hollywood, CA 90038

If you don't have a spare CD, you could still participate by sending a print of the label, with a little note on it that this is your PRE-ORDER request for "The Sentinel" on DVD!

OR - print out this great article on DVD's...

http://www10.brinkster.com/sandy2/article2.html

...and scribble a quick note to Tom on it, telling him to follow this hot trend and put your fave show on DVD!

Idea: in keeping with the "Lemon" theme - if you print in black&white, swipe a kid's crayon box and get crazy with the yellow ones! Heck, use a yellow Magic Marker!

And if you can't print a label...at least, send the man a postcard pre-order!

And then, of course, we'd love you to help us keep track of the campaign numbers by going to -

http://www10.brinkster.com/sandy2/dvd.html

We've gotten Tom's attention with the nifty bouquet, now it's up to y'all to keep him FOCUSED on our show, and the idea that there are hordes of fans out here, waiting to spend money on "The Sentinel" on DVD!! So - start printing labels, warriors!

And to get you even more revved up, SOS will be announcing a new CONTEST!! With a lovely TS prize, of course! Details to follow....in the meantime, go get 'em! Bombard Tom Lesinki with your "Lemon" CD's!!!

Posted by the SOS ladies the evening of June 25, 2003...

Greetings, DVD-starved sibs!

As part of the ongoing "Put The Sentinel On DVD" campaign, we're keeping in contact with Martin Blythe at Paramount in order to keep track of the hoped-for DVD release. We'll continue to do so and report our findings.

The latest is...nothing new, durn it. The issue is still pending at the Home Entertainment Division; they say "the decision hasn't been made yet" This WAS kind of expected....at the previous contact, Mr. Blythe did urge us to have patience with the process.

Patient, OK...but let us remain persistent! Please consider that if we - the group that professes to be so fervently interested in The Sentinel on DVD - slack off in sending those letters and CD's to Paramount, they may just figure that interest has died down to the extent that there's no money-making potential for them. We CANNOT let that happen!

Remember that all those "Put The Sentinel On DVD" CD's y'all sent to Paramount so far are EXACTLY what grabbed their attention! Let us KEEP said attention!

So, if you're peeved at Sci-Fi for screwing up the eps; if your videotapes are wearing out; if you just wanna see Jim 'n Blair in fab DVD quality...get with the campaign!

Our target!!

Paramount Studios
ATTN: Tom Lesinski, President
Home Entertainment Div.
5555 Melrose Ave.
Hollywood, CA 90038

We urge all our sibs to do your bit to strengthen the fandom! Ask Mr. Lesinski to put the *complete* run of The Sentinel out on DVD in 2003!

A nifty way to put this point across is to grab a spare CD (like one of those zillions of AOL discs that keep showing up in your mail) and do one of the following -

1) Grab a Sharpie/Magic Marker/whatever - and on the BLANK, back side of the disc, write PUT THE SENTINEL ON DVD!!

2) Go to one of these sites...

http://www.geocities.com/sos2_us/pages/main/dvd.html
http://sentinel.msnc.net/discs.html http://geocities.com/z3magic

...and print out a lovely Sentinel-themed CD label! Slap it on your CD and send it to Tom! (don't send the case, natch!)

A note here, sibs - while we think this method is the most dramatic and therefore, attention-grabbing method, we realize that it involves some extra effort and expense. Of course, we'd love to hear that Tom has to shovel piles of TS CD's off his desk, and we do still urge you to be part of that pile!

But if you can't...SEND A LETTER!

In support of *that* idea, here's some alternatives...

1) PRINT OUT a label and on that same sheet of paper, write a quick note to Mr. Lesinski!

2) An excellent article on the current state of the TV-shows-to-DVD market can be found at;

http://www.geocities.com/sos2_us/pages/main/dvdcampaign.html
or at
http://www10.brinkster.com/sandy2/article.html

This article strongly supports the idea that putting TS on DVD can be a money-making opportunity for Paramount. Print THIS out and send it to Tom - adding your request for "The Sentinel", of course!

3) Recent eBay auctions of videotaped TS eps make a great case for proving that fans are willing to shell out big bucks for the show. Choose one (or more!) of these jpg's, print them out, and send them to our buddy Tom with a reminder that there's plenty more money out there to be spent on Sentinel DVD's! Find the jpg's here -

JPG 1 and 2 are at the bottom of SOS's label site,

http://www.geocities.com/sos2_us/pages/main/dvd.html

Just scroll down to the bottom, and you'll see both jpg's available as clickable links.

These same 2 jpg's are also at -

http://www10.brinkster.com/sandy2/ebay.html
and
http://www10.brinkster.com/sandy2/ebay2.html

There's even a third jpg, showing a United Kingdom eBay auction; this one may be particularly impressive because it shows that folks outside the U.S. are also a potential market for TS on DVD. Go to -

http://www10.brinkster.com/sandy2/ebayuk.html

When you've finished gluing labels on CD's and printing out articles and jpg's, how about going to one of Sandy's fab WebCount pages and reporting your efforts?

http://www10.brinkster.com/sandy2/dvd.html
http://sentinel.mysitespace.com/dvd.html

(Note: over on TV Shows On DVD, The Sentinel has dropped to 8th place, BEHIND Smallville. And Smallville first season has already been scheduled to come out on DVD in September! GRRR!!! So if you haven't registered there and voted, consider doing it NOW!)

Whatever your choice - send Tom a CD, send him a CD label print-out, or the DVD article, or an eBay jpg - we strongly urge you to PARTICIPATE! Do at *least* one of these! Now that we have proof that we're being heard, let's KEEP UP THE PRESSURE ON PARAMOUNT.

Come on, Tribe - we still got the voices, we still got the power. Let's USE it!!

best,
the fighting damsels at SOS.

Yes, sibs, your fave feisty femmes have been at it again. We have once more contacted Martin Blythe at Paramount with some questions about the current "TS vs. JAG" polls/dialogs at The Home Theater Forum and TVShowsOnDVD.com. As he was previously, Mr. Blythe was quite gracious and spent a good deal of time on the phone with us. With his full knowledge, we pass on the following to you....

1) A big NO to the idea that the above polls/dialogs are a binding contest of any sort between The Sentinel and JAG. Martin says he "doesn't even see it as voting". He says it's more of a means to gauge viewer interest in both series. It is absolutely NOT an 'either/or' question. If one series wins out in the polls it does NOT mean that the other will be dropped from consideration for DVD release. Martin was QUITE emphatic on this.

2) There is not currently any end-date scheduled for voting/comments on either HTF or TVShowsOnDVD.com. For now, both are still ongoing.

3) At this time, Paramount has NOT yet made a decision on the issuance of TS on DVD. It's still in the early stages. He cautions it could take a while yet - all sorts of clearances to be obtained, even though Paramount owns the series. However, he did say that he hoped "people will be patient - it's not a simple thing to bring a show out on DVD" And he further commented that right now, Paramount is very tied up with getting Star Trek out on DVD. Martin wanted to make it VERY clear that "we ask for your patience."

4) Pat yer collective selves on the back, warriors. YES! YES, our "Put TS On DVD" campaign was effective, got noticed by TPTB, and was certainly one of the factors in Paramount's recent interest in The Sentinel. Martin said it was one of the cleverer methods he'd seen!

There ya go, Tribe. Now what?

Why, we carry on, of course! We firmly believe that all the above are firm indications that Paramount is taking this DVD issue quite seriously. But since the decision is not yet made, we MUST KEEP AT THEM!

Be patient, yeah - but keep making noise!! We've been definitely noticed , so - CONTINUE THE DVD CAMPAIGN! Keep after Paramount with your "Put The Sentinel On DVD" CD's and letters! They have gotten us this far and we simply must NOT let up now.

Note: the list of URL's with info on how to participate in this campaign is rather long, so we're going to issue it as a separate Advisory/Reminder right after this one. Check it out, save it, USE it!

If you haven't already registered at the HTF or TVShowsOnDVD, do it NOW!! Although it's not a contest, the more numbers we rack up, the better! Get in there and fight, Tribe... at the HTF, comments have slowed down. On March 24, there were five posts and March 27, only one! Remember, to comment and/or vote, both sites require you to register.

TVShowsOnDVD.com
http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/showinfo.cfm?showID=3746

right now, TS remains in 7th place - *after* Forever Knight, JAG, Seinfeld, Femme Nikita, Firefly, and Roswell. ACK!

Registration page for The Home Theater Forum
http://www.hometheaterforum.com/htforum/register.php?action=start

and once you've registered (may take a while), go to this site to vote AND add a comment!
http://www.hometheaterforum.com/htforum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=130013

So, are you revved up? Ready to rumble? Willing and able to keep up the fight to get our show on DVD?

Right on, FIGHT on! Go to these sites and do your bit for The Sentinel!!

Warriors, we may well be on the way to victory, but... the battle is still ongoing.

At the risk of sounding repetitive - the campaign IS working and HAS gotten Paramount's attention! But since they still haven't made the decision to issue TS on DVD, we can't afford to let up now. We MUST keep Paramount's attention focused on The Sentinel!

So, remember this address? Our target!!

Paramount Studios
ATTN: Tom Lesinski, President
Home Entertainment Div.
5555 Melrose Ave.
Hollywood, CA 90038

(NOTE: in another conversation with Paramount, we confirmed that there is no longer a feedback addy for The Sentinel. That "sentinel@pde.paramount.com" addy is dead, and there's no general feedback addy. So, snail-mail is the way to go!)

We urge all our sibs to do your bit to strengthen the fandom! Ask Mr. Lesinski to put the *complete* run of The Sentinel out on DVD in 2003!

Onward, Tribe!!

Posted by the SOS ladies the evening of March 11, 2003...

Many of us have seen posts flying fast 'n furious today about two websites, The Home Theatre Forum and TV Shows On DVD, actively gathering feedback *ON BEHALF OF PARAMOUNT* concerning the demand to put The Sentinel on DVD.

Warriors, it's for real. SOS has been in contact with the Paramount exec who's involved in gathering said feedback. He's Martin Blythe, a VP of Publicity at Paramount in L.A. And in a phone conversation today, he confirmed that they ARE indeed sending out "a feeler to see how much interest is out there."

THIS IS OUR BIG CHANCE!!!

All your efforts - all the letters, all the CD's - may be on the verge of paying off!

We can't emphasize enough how important it is for everyone to jump on this NOW. Go to both sites, <http://www.hometheaterforum.com/htforum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=130013> (also vote in the poll!) and <http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/showinfo.cfm?showID=3746>.

You must register at both sites before you can participate. (The registry area for the Home Theater Forum may be a bit difficult to locate quickly, so here's the direct URL to register there - <http://www.hometheaterforum.com/htforum/register.php?action=start>. After completing registry, it make take a little while before you can post your reply to Mr. Blythe.)

Note: some of the above URL's may not wrap. Might have to copy and paste to get the whole address.

Do it, do it, DO IT! This is the best indication we've had to date that we've succeeded in cluing Paramount in to the popularity of TS!

Sibs, we could be on our way to DVD's!

GO!!!!
